For employers

One report, five pillars, and the evidence behind each

The reason unstructured interviews predict performance so poorly is not that interviewers are careless. It is that a single overall impression is formed early and then everything after it is read as confirmation. Structure works because it forces separate judgements before they can collapse into one.

HireOrbyt scores five pillars independently and then blends them with role-appropriate weights. When a round does not apply — no coding for a non-engineering role — its weight is redistributed rather than counted as a zero, which is the failure mode that makes blended scores misleading.

What you get

Five pillars, scored separately

Technical, communication, coding, behavioural and integrity — each with its own basis rather than one overall impression.

Weights that adapt to the role

A skipped coding round redistributes its weight instead of scoring zero, so two candidates are only ever compared on what each was actually assessed on.

Per-question detail

Each answer carries its own score, so a recommendation can be traced to the evidence behind it.

A report you can circulate

Strengths, improvement areas and a recommendation, exportable as a PDF for people who will never sign into the platform.

How it works

  1. 1

Each round scores its own pillar

Interview responses, coding submissions and behavioural signals are evaluated independently.

  2. 2

    Pillars are blended

With weights appropriate to what the candidate was actually assessed on.

  3. 3

    The report is generated

With a recommendation, per-question detail and a downloadable PDF.

Questions we get asked

Can we see why a score is what it is?

Yes — per-question scores and a written justification sit behind the summary. A score you cannot trace is a score you should not act on.

Is there a single overall number?

There is a blended final score, but it is deliberately presented alongside the five pillars. The pillars are what make two candidates comparable; the single number is a convenience.

Can the report be shared with a hiring manager who has no account?

Yes, as a PDF export.
